Sunny Days and Seaside Bliss: A Family Escape to Islantilla
/Under the Spanish sun, where the sand meets the sea, our family found a slice of paradise in Islantilla. Nestled in the heart of the "Costa de la Luz," this seaside town welcomed us with open arms, promising sunny days, seaside bliss, and memories to cherish.
Estival Islantilla Resort: Your Beachside Haven
From the moment we arrived at the Estival Islantilla, we knew our family holiday was off to a perfect start. The resort, perched on the edge of a long, sandy beach, offered a retreat of comfort and convenience. Our accommodation, just steps away from the palm-lined promenade, separating the resort from a breathtaking 20-mile-long stretch of sand.
As a family with two daughters and a grandparent who joined, the Estival Islantilla became our beachside haven. The resort thoughtfully provided seamless accessibility for our elderly family member, ensuring comfort with on-site wheelchair facilities and a specially tailored room. Days were spent under the sun, building sandcastles, and taking refreshing dips in the azure waters. The kids had the time of their lives racing down the tube slides in the resort's pools, laughter echoing in the air.
The resort itself offered more than just a place to rest our heads. The buffet restaurant within the property delighted our taste buds with a variety of culinary delights. From vibrant Spanish flavours to familiar international dishes, there was something for every palate and a dedicated children’s buffet with their trusted favourites.
Exploring Islantilla: A Hidden Gem
Islantilla, with its authentic charm, proved to be a hidden gem that has become a family favourite over the years. This seaside town, situated next to La Antilla and bathed in the golden glow of the "Costa de la Luz," is a destination that captures the heart. The proximity to Huelva only added to its allure, providing a blend of local vibrancy and urban accessibility.
Our days were sprinkled with authentic Spanish experiences as we explored Islantilla's unique offerings. The fabulous little shopping centre near the hotel became a family ritual. Spanish clothes, bags, and jewellery filled the shelves, tempting us with their vibrant colours and distinct designs. It's a ‘tradition’ that I uphold each time we visit, a delightful part of our Islantilla story.
Family Moments Under the Sun
The 20-mile-long sandy beach was our playground, a canvas for family moments under the Spanish sun. Evenings were a mix of entertainment and walks on the promenade with the bustle of activities, then returning back to the perfect setting to unwind after sun-soaked adventures.
Memories to Cherish
As we bid farewell to Islantilla, we carry with us not just souvenirs from the local shops but a treasure trove of family memories. Until the next time, we'll hold onto the sun-soaked bliss and the seaside magic that defines this hidden gem on the "Costa de la Luz" and the genuine hospitality of Islantilla.
